Backcountry Property Management is First Nation owned and operated by Steve Chenier, who is a licensed trapper and forestry exterminator. Steve has a long history in the outdoors and tourism business. He prides himself on finding solutions with the resources at hand and finding ways to make things happen. Experience in camp managing, guiding and silviculture (forestry) work leads to the knowledge needed to work in remote and rural locations. He has spent time in remote locations such as the Yukon, Northern Quebec, Northern Ontario and Nunavut, including 40 days in the midnight sun of Baffin Island. The challenge of working in remote locations is what drives a passion for working in the outdoors.
